Samagya Bhatta is a 24-year-old educator from Budhanilkantha, Kathmandu, with a BSc in Environment and six years of teaching experience. She joined the Saathi Teachers Programme to explore the education landscape in rural areas and to make a meaningful impact on local communities. Her motivation stems from a passion for teaching and a desire to understand the unique challenges faced by rural schools.
Samagya brings a strong background in education, leadership, and community engagement. She aims to inspire positive changes in how education is perceived, providing knowledge, guidance, and a fresh perspective to students and fellow educators. Her belief that “the beautiful thing about learning is no one can take it away from you,” inspired by B.B. King was solidified by her experiences during the 2072 earthquake. This event taught her that while life is unpredictable, education provides resilience and hope for the future.
For those considering the Saathi Teachers Programme, Samagya describes it as a transformative journey of personal growth. It comes with both challenges and rewards, eventually becoming a place that feels like home. Despite the initial difficulties, the experience is fulfilling and life-changing, leaving participants with a deep sense of purpose and self-reliance.
