Sushmita Shrestha taught at Shree Taltule Basic School, Panchpokhari Thangpal Rural Municipality-4, Thangpalkot. She spent her childhood in Melamchi, where she attended public school. One of her biggest challenges in school was speaking in front of a crowd, which often held her back from many opportunities.

She always aspired to be a teacher who encourages students and helps them overcome obstacles. Joining the Saathi Teachers Programme gave her the opportunity to fulfill that role, and the experience transformed her into a more confident and capable person.
