Babeeta Shrestha taught at Shree Pragya Basic School, Melamchi Municipality-7, Bharatithok, Sindhupalchowk. As the eldest daughter in her family and naturally shy, she grew up facing both responsibility and uncertainty. Asking questions in class once felt terrifying, and financial struggles nearly forced her to drop out of school—a memory she considers one of the most difficult for any child to endure.
Grateful for the support of her teachers, who advocated for her education, she now sees her journey as proof that “everything is possible.” Her experiences allow her to connect deeply with rural children in Nepal, whose struggles often mirror her own.
Through the HELP Saathi Programme, she has found a meaningful space to improve the quality of education and work closely with students. As a teacher, she aspires to be a mentor who teaches with kindness and joy—one who inspires rather than intimidates, guiding children toward learning in an engaging and supportive environment.
